The major changes includes but not limited to:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>getting married<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>getting divorced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>having a child<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>moving house<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>if the executor named in the will dies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Getting Married<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/hmrc-internal-manuals\/inheritance-tax-manual\/ihtm12000\">Inheritance Tax Manual<\/a> posted on the UK government website, it is still a general rule that marriage automatically revokes a Will in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. If you do not make a new one, your estate will be distributed according to the rules of intestacy, which may not align with your wishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Getting Divorced<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your marriage is ended by a court order (like divorce or annulment) your will is not void or invalid.
